Saturday Inspiration

Hiya, Christine here with a new Saturday Inspiration for you.
This time I have used this fortnight's challenge theme, and have created a pretty tag. I always wondered when I first started crafting why there was a big thing on tags on various sites you can visit. I know now as now I have been after being  on deisgn teams for a number of years it is a lot easier to store a tag than it is to store a card. They are great not just for presents but you can also make stunning cards from then by just adding a bit of matting and layering to a card, and then adding the tag. After all we make them look so pretty when we make them, why not. if your really brave you can join them and make an accordion card,or even a small memory book for a special occasion too. So the humble tag is no longer the ugly duckling ,but the Beautiful Swan :)xx

Challenge #17 Anything but a Card

Yes its time for another challenge here at Morgans ArtWorld but first we have a brand new member to add to our Creative Team
NanaConnie
I'm a child of God, a Nana to 6 and a Great Nana to 2. I've been crafting in one form or another since I was old enough to hold a pair of scissors. In paper crafts, I started with scrap booking but discovered card making and blogging about the same time and have become addicted. I love stamping and colouring and my eldest granddaughter thinks that makes me an "artist". I'm really looking forward to working with Morgan's beautiful artwork and being a part of this wonderful team.

And now onto this fortnights challenge - the theme is
Anything but a Card
This is the perfect excuse to dable in some mixed media  or to get those unfinished products you have laying around the house and finish them.
And now onto the amazing projects presented to you by Cathie and the girls showcasing Morgan's images. For more information on any of the projects just click on the name to be taken to their personal blog.

Saturday Inspiration

Hiya, Christine here with a new Saturday Inspiration for you.
Today's beautiful fairy is coloured with pencils as usual, you know me now, but today's card is special as I have not only used a new die, but I have used a circular die at the top of the main picture. It just looked so pretty and I cut it out just to see what it looked like, then cut it into two and played with it and thought how different it looks like this as well as a lot bigger. So remember to look at your dies ,try using bits out of then ,Layering them up ,even just colouring them. They are a part of our tools so use them as much as you can and create more than one thing out of the die. I only buy one I know I will get more than one cut out of it. Unless it is a flower die as you can shape them and create different flowers from one die ..So have fun and play xx

Saturday Inspiration

Hiya Christine here with a new Saturday Inspiration for you.
I have used an image from my from the CD available from Crafters Companion. Instead of using the full image I have cut a circle using two dies and used it as a template so I would know where to colour in the image. Once coloured I cut the image out using the largest die and then I used 3D glue to raise the frame up grom the image hence creating a bit of depth as well as making the image pop out a bit more. I used Perfect Pearls for the first time and now I know how, even I have learning curves. Another way I bring my cards together is by using colour. One fairy is pink,so  i have used pink in the background. The other is purple so I have used purple flower touches in the background too to tie it all together. Have fun ,it is what its all about xx
